What's up everyone. Isn't it a great day today?! Actually---- I can't lie. I'm feeling quite angry about a bull shi*t ass article I just read. Which I'm sure many of you have already read. I'm not going to post that muther fuckin racist article up but let me just say it's an article on Yahoo regarding the gunman incident at Virginia Tech. There were a lot of things in that article that were unnecessary and only put in to provoke hatred amongst people. Also, there were a lot of emphasis on the ethnicity of this gunman. Had it been an anglo person, would they have said "Irish" or "German" man?! WTF?!!

Anyway, I was really coming on here to invite you all to my next performance but I had to be real. Anyhow, here's the info. for my next show. Come if you can, I'd love to see you all.

I bought a new "used" car.

Quick recap- I got into a car accident on Sunday, Alex and I are both okay..... I think. The other driver ran into the front "driver" side of my car and the metal that holds my front right tire was smashed in. I'm surprised he didn't get my leg. Long story short, it wasn't my fault.

Yesterday, my dad and I went car shopping. As relieved as I am about getting a new car, I enjoyed spending time with my dad. He is such a wise man. I've been spending more and more time with my dad lately and he is an amazing man. I'm realizing what I've been missing out on, and what others are missing out on.

stay cool........

the world is a stage....

What a kick ass weekend. Bie and I decided to drive up to Chicago for the weekend. I got to know my Bie a little better. We've been together for six---- it'll be seven years on the 28th; yet he still amazes me.

I've seen some pretty interesting things but being in Chicago this weekend really raised the bar. I'm totally kicking myself in the butt because I didn't take a picture of this.

Bie and I were walking the Magnificent Mile when we hear loud thumpin 70's disco music amongst the crowd. Just when our ears were able to make out where the music was coming from, our eyes took over. Straight ahead there was a young, finely toned, shirtless, Southeast Asian man in 70's green and white addidas biker shorts with matching shoes and socks, dancing in the street; literally dancing in the street. His right shoulder was the home of a boombox and his back arm had defined muscle lines.

There were those who kept their distance from his perspiring body but there were also those who leaped in with enthusiasm and praise. I wanted to join the latter and tell him how much I appreciated him. How there aren't enough people in the world like him; and frankly, how I envied him.

HERE's to dancing in the street----------- because the world is a stage.

**Concert Announcment**

I will see you THERE!!!!!

The film is done and I saw a pre-screening of it last night!!! I have one of the funny scenes in it. If you're out of town, please support it by ordering the DVD when it comes out. (I'll post info about it of course) I think he'll be touring the film in the following states as well, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina and California. Please check out the trailor at least.

This weekend..... is going to be a busy one. Besides promoting, promoting, last minute rehearsals, promoting, promoting and well promoting, I have friends coming from Colorado arriving tonight. I remember when my sis and I lived in a small apartment; our place during July 4th weekend was straight up a refugee camp. People sleeping on the floors, hallways, air matresses; closets were changing rooms..... oh the memories. Now our friends can sleep comfortably in their own beds, in their own rooms.
It's too bad Spud isn't going to be here. It won't be the same. July 4th won't ever be July 4th without Spud. I'll be thinking about you doll. I have yet to connect with my volleyball teammates. Wish us luck this weekend in the volleyball competition, or the Hmong Olympics, so I call it. Want to know more about it? Just google Hmong July 4th.

OH--- just thought of something. Last week, on Friday night, after Open Mic, I was so inspired that I went home, got drunk by myself with a glass of wine, and wrote a poem. Although I would never read or post this poem publicly, because it's too personal, it was extremely therapeutic. And now I have something to work with.

Last night, right before class, I went to the new library downtown Minneapolis. Man, it's like a learning amusement park!!! Anyhow, I picked up my first set of cds on how to speak Korean. I'm already done with lesson one.

Okay I just realized how long this post was. Making up for lost time. Update more later.

Currently Listening
It's Raining

Okay, I saw this on one of my LJ buddy's journal and decided to do since I'm too lazy to update with a real entry.

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your live journal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

01. Bi (Rain) - I Do
02. Bi (Rain) - It's Raining
03. Dragon Ash - Life Goes On
04. Dragon Ash - Deep Impact
05. Bunty Aur Babli - Kajara re
06. Star - I think I
07. Shattered Echo'Z - Suicide (This song will blow you away)
